Hiedi Stoakes

Hiedi began her training at the age of 8 when she attended drama classes at the Bradford Playhouse and also performed as a member of the Leeds Girls Choir. She began dancing at the age of 9 and went on to train vocationally from the age of 14, via a full scholarship, at the Legat School of Russian Ballet in Tunbridge Wells. She completed her training with a 3 year scholarship at Northern Ballet School. Here she gained 4 Teaching qualifications , History and Anatomy of Dance and the NBS Teaching Diploma. Hiedi was also awarded the NBS choreographic award for 1992. Hiedi has appeared in numerous television programmes, commercials and pop videos, as well as performing professionally. Hiedi has taught dance for the past 27 years extensively throughout the North and is a regular guest teacher at full time colleges and specialist schools. She set up and founded Footsteps in 1992 and has past pupils performing all over the world.

Claire king

Claire began her training at the age of 8 when she attended Cynthia Carrs School of dancing. At 16 Claire went on to study for a further 3 years at Studio La Point College. Since leaving college Claire has danced overseas and gained extensive knowledge and experience of teaching students of all ages and ability. Claire has worked at Footsteps for the pass 23 years and is head ion the junior department. Claire is also founder of the sunders 3's "Dance Tots" programme and developed a unique programme which she delvers to children from the Downs Syndrome Training &support Ltd.
